Yay 2012!!!!

Happy New Year and thank goodness 2011 is gone!

I have so much I need to report here and hope to get to some of it soon. This is just the first week since things went topsy turvy in October that I feel Ai kan haz owt of hamzter bal nou!!!

I spent the morning of the last day of the year reading some of FotR, going to the doctor and getting a pretty clean bill of health, except for the achy finger, reading some of TH, running errands, then had a yummy ihop breakfast that Thomas BringsTheFire would wax poetical over. I had an afternoon coffee date with a lovely woman, then stopped by the thrift shop, did some chores, IMed with my bb's[personal profile] mererid and [personal profile] delux_vivens, and snuggled with my kitties to bring in the new year. So I saw this year out well and am hopeful for 2012.

Meanwhile, here are some Chanuka Chobbits from earlier this week, bringing in light for the new year . . .



I hope to be a better flistmate in 2012. I hope I get to post more dollustrations and picfics. I'm so glad you're all here, dear flisties. *HUGS*

Dear Ms. Took......at 11:58, I was admonishing 2011 not to let the door hit it on its arse as it exited. Gosh, what a not-so-wonderful year!

You were way more (successfully) ambitious than I was today. Impressive!

May 2012 be the year of The Lavender Took. May there be Adventures and Kittehs aplenty, and all of them *good*

(and a bag of jools wouldn't be amiss, either, would it?)

Yeah, 2012 has a lot of wiggle room for not sucking as much as 2011.

Well, I am turning 50 this year, and I've already fought a few dragons, and more than my share of giant spiders, so we'll see how it goes. (-;

I have to say that I weathered 30 and 40 just swell, but 50 was difficult. Lost mom that year and it just all-around was hard. But that doesn't mean your 50 will be. As you point out, you're experienced in fighting monsters.

I know you had a rough 2011 and I hope 2012 is much kinder to you!

The last part of 2012 was rough here to, but meeting you and other LJ friends in October was a highlight that none of the bad stuff can dim.

Thank you, hon! 2012 can give 2011 thanks for giving it a lot of breathing room to hit the mark.

Oh, I'm so sorry, you're having a rough time, too. *snuggles* Meeting you was a joy, as was that moot--the definite peak of the year. (-: May the new year bring us much to smile at. And we do know we'll have The Hobbit at the end of it, so it's already ahead of the game.

Thank you, hon! Your poor fingers! I got my right pinkie weirdly jammed in a door at work several weeks ago now--a stupid accident that just ticks me off because it's hanging around for longer than my roll over accident injuries. *gentle hugs*

Thank you! It will be my 50th, and I've already fought the dragons and spiders, so let's hope it's a good adventure! I know 2012 probably can't top what you did in 2011, but I'll admonish it to try and equal that, anyway. *squooshes*
